以公园为例，道路两旁会植以玉兰、银杏、黄金槐、红枫、香樟等乔木作为行道树，可观赏、可遮荫。行道树底下会植以、红叶石楠、金叶女贞、小叶黄杨等绿篱类苗木，用以把道路和花坛隔离开来。
